The Finest Creation – LED Hard Drive Clock 3.5”
Are you so bored with the life and would like something more special or outstanding to spice up the boring life? Well, then you might want to try this colorful LED hard drive clock 3.5″.
This is quite a simple project, where all you need to prepare are old hard drive (You don’t have to buy new hard drive, as the old one will be more than enough for this project!), microcontrollers and a fine programmer to get this project started…

This project doesn’t involve any drilling process. The clock works by simply removing the top of the hard drive and cutting a slot into the platter. After that, the lights will be mounted underneath and flashes when it start to spin! In addition, you can even create the illusion of clock hands or color bars, if you know how to tune the right timing!
Since it can run perfectly with only a 12V power supply, then it’s easy for you to hook the power supply nicely. Beside that, it also comes with a self adhesive strip on the back, which means it’s a simple task to put it on as well.
You should start to build one today, as this is a fun project to deal with…
