If you deal with resistor, diode, or other two lead components that come in ribbons then first task what you need too d is to cut ribbons in to shorter pieces so you could share, sell or stack. One way is to do this with scissors but why waste time – let this do for simple robot that never gets tired or bored.

Robot construction seems to be quite simple. It consists of two motors – stepper motor which moves ribbon so it could be cut at perfect length and servo motor that moves cutting blades. All that fun is controlled by Arduino. Sources for it may be found here.
