Tetris game on PIC 18LF4520

It seems that Tetris game is unbeatable. It was originally developed by Russian computter engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. And since then Tetris game can be found in many devices including consoles, mobile devices and modern TVs. Graham Mitchell challenged himself with idea to build a PIC based Tetris game. He’s chosen a PIC18LF4520 microcontroller which drives 64 LED matrix display.

As you would expect game is controlled with four push buttons. It keeps track of high scores in EEPROM. Graham put some effort to explain development process including code writing which is written in PIC BASIC. Here is same game with sound mod developed by DomS:
