Attiny25 based motorbike gear indicator
If you own an older motorcycle, this tune-up might be worth your attention. Wouldn’t it be a fun actually to see the gear shifted on instead trying to sense or remember? So this project is a simple motorcycle gear detector that actually can fit for many motorcycles because it uses direct external sensor based on hall sensor and magnet fixed to gear shift lever.
Project is based on ATtiny25 microcontroller which is powerful enough to read two hall sensors and display info on two seven segment displays through 4026 counter/decoder. Even if motor is turned off – the current gear is stored in EEPROM. I’d say this is a little handy circuit worth trying.
