Dave doesn’t leave things like they are. As he unpacks his new toy the first thought is to modify something. So recently he got a Nissan Juke and immediately started new project where he added custom tail lights.

For this he used Attiny85 microcontroller where Arduino code resides. It reads break pedal signal and drives MOSFET with PWM to control LED stripe. Programmed a special effect when brake pedal is pressed. It lights LEDs from 75% to 100% with some delay and then goes black. It looks great. Dave isn’t happy about final results and plans on improvements -maybe using RGB stripes.
