DIY MMA2260 accelerometer demo board
MMA2260 is a single X-axis accelerometer from freescale. It has a package of SOIC16 but only few pins are required for interfacing. Here is a simple demo board that read accelerometer data using PIC’s AN0 pin and maps its value to 8 LEDs.
The more you shake board – the more lights shows up. You can play with it on various areas like measuring centrifugal force, using as leveler, and where acceleration or gravity is involved.
