Making talking calipers
OK here is a great project that makes digital calipers talk and tell measured values. This was actually initiated project by blind engineering student Terry. As we can see blindness cant beat desire to do engineering things. We respect terry for great inspiration.
Well back to calipers. It is based on Atmega microcontroller which interfaces calipers using serial interface. AVR stores number phrases in its memory. When value is read it combines sentence out of distinct words. Simple but a great helper for someone.
