The Modern GNU Open-source Micro-RC Repeater Controller

-->

Guys, when we’re talking about the Micro-RC Repeater Controller, what’s your first reaction? Hehe, majority of you here might probably have this thought, “Are you kidding me? Another Micro-RC Repeater Controller? I already have enough with it!” Hold on and calm down. Yep, maybe you’re right here, but this Micro-RC Repeater Controller is totally different from other and that’s why, you should have a closer look on it!

Technically, the Micro-RC Repeater Controller is a modern design device, which is designed based on GNU open-source using all SMD components.

If you refer to the above figure, you can see that the Micro-RC is placed on the center around the Atmel ATmega1281 microcontroller, alongside with picoOS RTOS and the new CML Microcircuits MX828 CTCSS/DCS/SelCall full duplex PL encoder/decoder chip.

The reasons why this Micro-RC Repeater Controller is unique, due to the following features:

  • The flashable and upgradeable Atmel ATmega1281 16MHz firmware is an advanced RISC type processor.
  • A special preemptive RTOS, which allow the Micro-RC to execute multiple tasks without any problems.
  • A crystal clear LCD 2×20 display for real time status display.
  • Full duplex Tx/Rx PL/DPL supporting up to 15 PL tones.
  • Onboard adaptive smart squelch under CPU control.
  • DTMF decoder.
  • ISD Chip-Corder digital audio voice recorder/playback.
