The project is based on an ATMega32 microcontroller running at 16MHz, which is functioning as the main brain. The 2×16 LCD display with a 5 key keypad give the user an option to set all necessary parameters, and displays charging/discharging values when it’s completed.

In order to gain more functions into the battery charger, a fixed voltage, current limited output, a fixed current, voltage limited output and a variable PWM output are provided as well.
