How to make another microcontroller based LED clock not boring? Well this one is definitely worth looking at. It is impressive design that uses 180 RGB LEDs to indicate hours, minutes and seconds. The LEDs are driven using a bunch of TLV5925 constant current LED drivers. These drivers allows to address each individual LED to be addressed separately.
If not enough there is also four 7 segment LED displays to show numerical values. These values are taken form several sources including DS1307 real time clock, DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor. Clock is equipped with photoresistor so it could adjust brightness of LEDs according to ambient light. But the coolest thing is a time display using three concentric LED circles. All this is controlled by Arduino microcontroller that is integrated in to custom PCB design.
